Indoor Weddings and Receptions

Step through the doors of Historic Ann’s 1893 and into a space that has its own story to tell — one that becomes the backdrop for yours.

The main floor unfolds across two large adjoining rooms that flow naturally into two additional spaces and a sweeping hallway, creating a layout as flexible as your vision. Whether you’re planning an intimate indoor ceremony, a formal seated dinner, a relaxed reception, or all of the above — this house adapts beautifully to the celebration you’re imagining.

And then there’s the entrance. Descend our grand staircase and make the kind of arrival your guests will be talking about long after the last dance.

Our charming player piano sets the tone from the moment guests arrive — opening with Pachelbel’s Canon in D, complete with string accompaniment, and flowing through a carefully curated multi-hour set list that naturally evolves as the evening does. Let’s just say we’ve designed it so your guests are on their best behavior when it counts… and wonderfully loose by the time the night winds down.

A dining room and catering kitchen round out the main floor, making setup and service seamless for your caterer.

  • Up to 75 guests seated for an indoor ceremony
  • Up to 88 guests for formal dining on the main floor
  • Up to 125 guests for a relaxed buffet or food truck-style celebration using both indoor and outdoor spaces

Need a little more room to spread out?

Julie’s Honky Tonk, right behind the venue, offers 10+ pub tables perfect for casual eating and mingling when your crowd exceeds 88.

Full room schematics and table/chair layouts are available on our FAQs page under “Venue Capacity.”

Outdoor  Weddings

Pam’s Meadow is Historic Ann’s 1893’s signature outdoor ceremony space — a canopy of towering trees, golden light, and the kind of pure beauty that only Mother Nature can provide. A beautifully laid stone aisle leads you toward our 16×20 multi-tiered ceremony altar, framed by a classic tin backdrop and soft curtain lights. It’s a setting that feels both timeless and completely yours.

Up to 125 guests are seated across 25 benches — intimate enough that every face in the crowd is one you love.

As evening approaches, string lights bring a warm romantic glow to the meadow. And in the summer and early fall months, something magical happens at sundown — the trees come alive with what we call nature’s cicada symphony.

A Bluetooth speaker and microphone stand are included at no charge — perfect if you’d prefer a simple, elegant ceremony without the DJ price tag. Hiring a DJ? There’s a dedicated table with nearby power ready for them.

When the ceremony ends, a short private walkway connects Pam’s Meadow directly to Historic Ann’s 1893 — keeping your celebration seamless and your guests together from first vow to last dance.

And the celebration doesn’t have to move indoors.

Pam’s Meadow is just as magical as a reception space as it is for your ceremony. See Outdoor Reception Options.

Outdoor Reception Options

At Historic Ann’s 1893, the party doesn’t have to stop when the ceremony ends. With multiple outdoor spaces to choose from, your reception can flow exactly the way you’ve always imagined it.

Option 1 — Pam’s Meadow The same magical space where you said I do transforms effortlessly into a stunning reception area. Rearrange the benches into a horseshoe and suddenly you have a natural dance floor at the center of it all — your guests gathered around you exactly as they should be. Bluetooth speaker, microphone, and plenty of power are ready when you need them.

Option 2 — Julie’s Honky Tonk Tucked directly behind the venue and wrapped in beautiful gardens, Julie’s Honky Tonk is one of those spaces that just has a vibe. Built-in portable bar, pergola, Bluetooth speaker, microphone, and power — it’s ideal for cocktail hour, live music, dancing, or simply letting the evening take on a life of its own. Perfect for smaller, more intimate receptions with a little funky charm.

Option 3 — Both Spaces (our most popular choice) Why choose when you can have it all?

Host your ceremony in Pam’s Meadow, then send guests inside to eat while you and loved ones take photos and the benches get rearranged. Return to the meadow for dances, toasts, and your send-off — then let the after party spill into Julie’s Honky Tonk just steps away. As the evening gets more relaxed, your guests will naturally appreciate being closer to food, drinks, and restrooms. It’s a seamless, natural flow that feels festive at every turn.

Planning for cooler weather?

No problem. Julie’s Honky Tonk includes a plastic enclosure and two propane heaters to keep the party going comfortably into the fall and beyond.

A full private bath, kitchenette, and separate lounge room mean you have everything you need without ever having to rush or share the moment with anyone you didn’t invite.

This is where the morning unfolds at your pace. Where someone’s doing hair in one room while someone else is crying happy tears in the next. Where the champagne gets poured before anyone says a word.

Groom’s Floor

Let’s be honest. The bride and her crew need approximately five hours to get ready. The guys need five minutes.

That’s exactly why we built The Groom’s Basement — a proper hangout space where the men of the hour can dress, relax, and burn off a little pre-wedding energy without wandering too far. When they’re needed, they’re close. Until then, they’re exactly where they want to be.

We’re talking pool table, ping pong, a bar, a full kitchen, and a big screen TV. It’s the ultimate groom’s lounge — tucked right inside Historic Ann’s 1893 so the whole wedding party stays connected without stepping on each other’s moment.

Garden Pathways

Some walks deserve to be slow and savored.

A private garden pathway connects Historic Ann’s 1893 to Pam’s Meadow — and the journey between them is as beautiful as either destination. Lush hydrangeas and thoughtfully planted blooms put on a show in every season but winter, creating a naturally romantic backdrop ensuring no photographer will want to put the camera down.

But this garden is more than beautiful. It’s a tribute.

These blooms are a living legacy of Ann Moore — the beloved teacher and master gardener from whom the venue owners, Julie and David, purchased this cherished home. Ann and Julie bonded over two things they both held dear: a love of teaching and a love of plants. The garden you walk through on your wedding day is a testament to that connection, and to the woman who poured herself into this place for years before it became the venue you’re standing in today.

Every couple who walks this path does so surrounded by something rare — beauty with a story behind it.

As you make your way toward Pam’s Meadow, glance to your right and you’ll catch a glimpse of the back side of Rosie’s Retreat, where a fire pit and picnic tables sit ready and waiting. It’s an ideal little gathering spot for your wedding rehearsal crew — set out some snacks while you run through the ceremony, then let the evening wind down naturally around the fire once you’re done. The kind of relaxed, happy night that sets the perfect tone for everything that follows the next day.

Wrap Around Porch

The Wrap-Around Porch — A Historic Frame for Your Story

Some backdrops are simply irreplaceable.

Historic Ann’s 1893 is proudly listed on the United States National Registry of Historic Homes — and nowhere does that distinction feel more alive than on our classic wrap-around porch. The architecture, the details, the sense that this building has witnessed things — it all comes together in a way that makes every photo taken here feel like it belongs in a magazine.

And the photos here? They are something special.

The tucked corners of this Victorian porch create an intimate, naturally framed setting that is absolutely ideal for a first look — that private moment between you and your partner before the rest of the world gets to see you. It’s the kind of architectural detail that photographers dream about.

The front porch faces Main Street and frames a sky that puts on a show every single evening. Couples who time it right are rewarded with sunsets that need absolutely no filter.  And for those willing to be a little spontaneous — some of our all-time favorite couple portraits happen right across the street, a playful nod to the Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road cover. It never gets old.

A gentle note — the front porch sits on Main Street, so it’s best enjoyed as a visual experience rather than an event space. As they say, photos don’t have ears. Let this porch be your backdrop, your golden hour destination, and your most stunning album pages.
